Rub your palms together, and using your fingers- massage and work the oil evenly into your beard, down to the hair follicle.

Pre-Shave Oil   \ pree-sheyv-oil \

n.

  1. Men's personal care product used to both moisturize skin, and add an additional layer of protection to sensitive skin, prior to the application of soap or lather in the shaving routine.

Contemporary Example: Did you know that Pinky & the Beard Handcrafted Beard Oil can also be used as a Pre-Shave Oil for a close, clean shave that will also leave your pores clean and skin moisturized and glowing?

When shaving with sensitive skin, the act of dragging a sharp blade across your face to cut and remove facial hair will scrape at the surface of the skin, drying it out, causing redness, irritation, and dryness, and dandruff. Like any quality Pre-Shave Oil, our Beard Oil creates an additional layer of protection prior to soap or lather. Our thin, fast-absorbing organic base oils work fast to moisturize deep into the skin, so it won't clog your razor- nor your pores.

Directions: Rinse face with warm water and pat dry before applying Pinky & the Beard Handcrafted Beard Oil. Shake the bottle and dispense a few drops of oil into the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together and massage a thin layer of oil onto your face. Allow the oil to absorb into your skin for 1-2 minutes as you wash the excess oil from your hands. (Alternatively, you could also rub the excess oil on dry patches of skin in need of moisture, such as elbows or knees.) Then- apply shaving soap or lather to your face and continue shaving as normal.
